The Fab 5 is an amazing book. Jalen and Juwan were from the slums, growing up in the hood trying to make it out as basketball was there ticket. It made me feel confused because why would you risk your career to do those things, I like the sports players who play because they love the game. Basketball, Trash Talk, The American Dream, by Mitch Album is an excellent book for any sports fan or anyone who wants to know more about the history of the University of Michigan Basketball team. As Albom eloquently puts it, “The shame of this team was that it always seemed to be at its best when no one was looking. I’m somewhat dubious of his claim that he knew nothing and that there was a possibility that very little money changed hands until the interim period between the end of Webber’s sophomore season and Webber’s going to the NBA draft.

At first only three of the five freshmen started but as the season went on and as the team struggled Coach Steve Fisher had no other option then to start all five freshmen.
He was too picture perfect — as Albom pointed out, he even sweated neatly, like a model who had been misted.

I say this because for one it’s about basketball and it has to do with Michigan which always makes me happy. All five freshman would start for steve fisher and the Michigan wolverines, being the only team in history to start all five freshman. But the question that ifve always haunt Webber will be the fact that he never won a title at any level.

Mitchell David Albom is an author, journalist, screenwriter, playwright, radio and television broadcaster and musician. And when hes talking about somebody and then just goes off onto a completely new train of thought.
As the two seasons went on the fab five went through a lot of scrutiny, especially because all five of them were black.
Albom breaks down the realities of recruiting poor black kids from the inner city and that, as sad as it is, racial issues still exist. The fab five was very special group of kids they bonded like brothers very quickly. Although the whole team did it, Rose was pointed out because he xlbom it the most.
He ended up getting the full time coaching job but ended up struggling the next two seasons. These guys were not your average college student athletes, all five of them were arrested on drug charges.
